My Fault: London, based on Wattpad sensation Culpa Mia, is the story of 18-year-old Noah who falls into a forbidden romance.

“I need to stay out of trouble.”

“And I’m trouble, right?”

1. ENEMIES-TO-LOVERS

“It’s probably best we stay out of each other’s ways.”

“Works for me.”

Noah starts off with hating the “infamous” Nicholas Leister, who is her new step-brother. He is cheeky, rude and calls her an “unwanted guest” in his home. After a series of squabbles accompanied by the looming sexual tension, the step-siblings finally give in to a cliched enemies-to-lovers plot.

2. BAD BOY CLICHES

Nick fights… And races… Any other bad boy clichés?”

Yes, he is rich and rude with a troubled past. Further, he is involved with gangs, underground races and illegal fights. However, he is a more milder version of the Nick seen in the Spanish version of the story ‘Culpa Mia’.

While Noah has spent her life running away from violence, Nick lives a life that attracts violence.

3. STEAMY SCENES

Like a typical young adult movie, My Fault religiously delivers a set of spicy scenes, be it in the midst of an illegal race or in their parent’s swimming pool.

4. ADRENALINE RUSH

The movie is loaded with the spice of illegal street races, illegal fights, car chases, kidnapping, wrestling and near-to-death encounters.

The movie is a blend of romance, thriller and suspense.

5. UK VS. SPANISH VERSION

Pic- boris rager

The movie is a spin-off of Spanish movie Culpa Mia. While both share the same story, the British version has its own fresh plotline with new scenes. It ascertains that the movie is not just a copy of the original.

While the Spanish version stressed more on the sexual attraction between the couple, the British version makes the affair an organic one, starting with their friendship. Further, it offers a first-hand account of Noah’s past traumas.

6. NOAH

She is a year older than the Spanish version of Noah portrayed by Nicole Wallace. Notably, she is a better driver than Nick. She also appears more calm and composed than her Spanish counterpart. However, she lacks the innocent charm that Nicole’s character possessed.

7. NICK

Nick appears more mature and considerate than the Spanish version. He is much softer towards his parents. Moreover, unlike his Spanish counterpart, he manages to engage in an affair with his stepsister right under the nose of his father and stepmother without making them too suspicious.

8. THE PLAYERS

English actress and singer Asha Banks, known for her role in The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, plays the role of Noah.

Matthew Broome, seen in period drama The Buccaneers, plays the character of Nick Leister. Further, actor Ray Fearon, who is known for his role in Harry Potter spinoff series of Fantastic Beasts, has portrayed the role of Nick’s father William.

9. WHERE TO WATCH?

The movie is exclusively available on Amazon Prime. It was released quite strategically on 13th February, one day before Valentine’s Day.

10. WHAT’S NEXT?

The movie is based on a book trilogy by Mercedes Ron. Hence, it is expected to be followed by 2 more parts- Your Fault and Our Fault. However, no confirmation of the UK version of these sequels are out yet. The first two parts of the Spanish version were released before the English version. Further, its third part (Culpa Nuestra) is already in post-production.
